Benares Restaurant and The East India Company Gin Pairing event
Atul Kochhar, chef Patron of Michelin-starred restaurant Benares in Mayfair, will collaborate with luxury brand, The East India Company, to create a bespoke gin and tea cocktail paired menu. Exclusively for the month of February, the pairing will offer guests a unique dining experience, as they bring the finest, most vibrant ingredients from the East to a modern dining setting in the West.
Together we will be hosting a banquet style ticketed event on the 21st Feb for up to 16 guests. Guests have the opportunity to sample three courses from a curated menu developed by Chef Atul Kochhar, with each course perfectly-paired with an East India Company cocktail.

The Benares Set Menu
Starter options include South Indian Tellicherry Pepper and Tamarind Soup, Oyster Pakoda and Bhaitti Spiced Guinea Fowl Tikka, Smoked Aubergine Purée.
Paired cocktail: Ginger Sparkler – The East India Company Gin, fresh lime juice, Angostura Bitters and sugar syrup shaken and strained into a Collins glass. Topped with homemade East India Company lemongrass and ginger sparkling tea.
Mains will continue to capture the essence of India, with dishes such as Fenugreek Flavoured Chicken Supreme, Kadai Pepper sauce, leafy Baby Spinach and Royal Mysore Kedgeree, Crispy Lentil Pearls, Curry Lead Dressing.
Paired Cocktail: Tropical Punch – A perfectly balanced refreshing cocktail made with The East India Company Gin, fresh lemon juice and fresh pink grapefruit juice. Topped with The East India Company tropical punch tea and garnished with an edible flower.
To conclude, guests can indulge in a selection of delectable dessert options, including Coconut Panna Cotta, Cranberry Flapjack and Gulab Jamun and Mascarpone Delice.
Paired Cocktail: Gin Sour Twist – The East India Company Gin, fresh lemon juice, orange bitters and egg white shaken with homemade jasmine syrup using The East India Company Gin silverneedle and jasmine flower tea.
Also available post dinner, will be a bespoke tea chosen by Lalith Lenadora, the Tea Master at The East India Company.
