Beginning February 22nd Atul is launching Chef Season! During this time Atul will team up with several well-known chefs to create an exclusive menu and hosted dinner at the Benares Bar. Diners will be able to sample from a menu of nine tasting dishes compiled by Atul and his guest chef. A choice of three dishes starts at £21 from the nine dish menu which includes six dishes created by Atul and three dishes created by his guest chef.
Atul will also take part in a hosted evening at the respective restaurants of his guest chefs. Further chefs include Anna Hansen commencing February 22nd, Richard Corrigan March 20th and Nigel Halworth May 3rd. Menus are soon to be announced so stay tuned! Atul Kochhar, chef-patron of Michelin star Benares Restaurant in Mayfair, has opened his kitchen to people wanting to discover more about his contemporary approach to Indian cooking with a hands on class.
ADVANCED CLASSES
Unlike the original Masterclass, this unique opportunity allows you to learn in depth about Indian cooking and the secrets behind Atul's fusion of food in the Benares kitchen. Classes are offered for groups of 10 at £350 per person.
Starting at 9.30am, the chefs will demonstrate the art of Indian cooking and mixing spices. Thereafter, you will receive individual attention as you get to prepare a few dishes. The class culminates with a meal in the restaurant. Also included in the price is a signed copy of Atul's book, "Fish Indian Style" and a selection of chutneys.

We are glad to announce that Benares will be hosting three exclusive wine evenings hosted by the world's most influential wine makers along with Atul Kochhar and Benares head Sommelier, Costanzo Scala. Costanzo and his team will be pairing wine to some of the most refined and flavourful dishes created by Chef Atul. Beginning February 29th Rijks Private Cellar, from Tulbagh, South Africa will join us, as well as Marchese di Gresy and Vallet Freres. Atul Kochhar and his Head Sommelier, Costanzo Scala are proud to launch their master class season for 2012. Atul prepares six of his world-famous dishes, with an accompanying interactive discussion on how and why to match certain wines. Guests then enjoy a lavish, wine-matched, three course lunch in the main dining room hosted by Costanzo.
Each class is £250 per person but guests are encouraged to bring a guest to join them for lunch for an additional £50.
