Atul Kochhar, chef-patron of Michelin star Benares Restaurant in Mayfair, has opened his kitchen to people wanting to discover more about his contemporary approach to Indian cooking with a hands on class. DEMONSTRATION CLASSES You will have the opportunity to learn more about Indian cooking and the secrets behind his great food with the popular Master Class. This unique opportunity allows you to learn from Atul and his team in the Benares kitchen and to observe in creating three to four dishes for an Authentic Indian meal. This is held in the kitchen of Benares Restaurant in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London, W1J 6BS. Following a welcome drink, Atul Kochhar and his team will demonstrate the art of Indian cooking and mixing spices. The Master Class culminates with a meal. Master Classes are offered to groups of up to 8-10 people. £150 per person, Included in the price is a signed copy of Atul's Book, "Indian Essence" including a mixed goody bag of spices and chutneys. ADVANCED CLASSES Unlike the original Masterclass, this unique opportunity allows you to learn in depth about Indian cooking and the secrets behind Atul's fusion of food in the Benares kitchen. Classes are offered for groups of 8 at £350 per person. Starting at 7.30am, the chefs will demonstrate the art of Indian cooking and mixing spices. Thereafter, you will receive individual attention as you get to prepare a few dishes. The class culminates with a meal in the restaurant. Also included in the price is a signed copy of Atul's book, "Indian Essence", chutneys and Benares own delicately scented candles. - All classes for 2008 are now fully booked.
